Gerry, Pacemakers & Searchers To Tour NZ

THE BEATLES-ERA group from Liverpool that wasn’t The Beatles, Gerry & The Pacemakers, will perform a bunch of dates around NZ on what purports to be their Farewell World Tour with another British group from the same era, The Searchers.
Gerry and his Pacemakers (who may actually have pacemakers by now) were a major component of the British Invasion in the 1960s, with songs like ‘How Do You Do It?’, ‘I Like It’, ‘Ferry Cross The Mersey’, and ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone.’
The Searchers, also from Liverpool, were an important part of the Mersey Sound, with their 12-string guitar and harmonies anticipating the sound of The Byrds. Their hits included ‘Sweets For My Sweet’, ‘Sugar & Spice’ and ‘Needles & Pins.’
No information has been released about how many original members are in each of the bands on this highly nostalgic outing.
Pre-sale begins Thursday, December 13. All on sale Monday, December 17. Dates and ticketing information below.
