Assertive New Play For Edifier In NZ

The Edifier speaker range gets boosted profile with a new NZ distributor.


Well-respected Chinese loudspeaker company Edifier has signed on with Play Distribution in New Zealand with the intention of finding a new audience for its wide range of speaker products, including speakers for computers, home audio, home theatre, and gaming. Oh, and not to forget headphones and portable speakers.

Edifier marketing director Audrey Anne Felix: “With the recent appointment of Play Distribution as official distributor for Edifier here, timed perfectly with the release of our next generation studio speakers, home theatre systems and gaming speakers, we are primed and ready for the next chapter. We have seen a rejuvenated market that is interested in the latest technologies at affordable prices and that is what Edifier represents.”

The new distribution deal will coincide with the release of a new range of Edifier speakers. These include:


Edifier M1250 Multimedia Speakers

Compact USB-powered speakers.



Edifier E10BT Exclaim Connect

With satellites featuring a 3-inch woofer and two 3-inch radiators, DSP and DRC (Dynamic Range Compensation), the Exclaim Connect produces minimal distortion at high volumes, making it perfect for gaming.



Edifier M1370BT

Powerful 5-inch bass driver with forward facing reflex port “makes for powerful lows and the upward facing speakers minimize surface interference and introduce your ears to the best possible sound.”

Bluetooth capability.



Edifier R1700BT

Vintage look, handpicked walnut vinyl design, can be used as a bookshelf speaker or part of home theatre set-up. Featuring DRC and DSP, and Eagle Eye tweeters that ensure great clarity of sound.

Edifier Luna E235

Futuristic design, 8-inch bass driver with built-in amp. Great for movies and gaming in large rooms. Touch-sensitive controls, Bluetooth 4.0.

Edifier speakers will be available exclusively at EB Games, Mighty Ape and PB Tech.
