THERE’S BEEN SEVERAL metric tonnes of gadget and tech-related news come out of the SXSW (South By Southwest) festival in Austin, Texas, ranging from talking shoes to a palm-sized 3D display for smartphones.
Music, however, remains the focus of this festival, and as with previous years, the artists and festival organisers have put up a steaming great pile of copyright-free music for free.
Weighing in at a solid 7.39TGB, there are 1210 tracks which are all DRM-free and available on the SXSW site as a series of torrents that won’t see you being busted for copyright infringement. PAT PILCHER
