Kenwood Electronics back in NZ

August 8, 2012

KENWOOD CONSUMER ELECTRONICS is back in New Zealand after a three-year hiatus. Kenwood will be distributed in NZ by the JVC KENWOOD Corporation with Endurance Distributors appointed as local brand representative.

In October 2011, Kenwood Corporation and Victor Company of Japan (JVC) merged into JVC KENWOOD Corporation. JVC KENWOOD’s strategy is to use its two global brands, JVC and KENWOOD to develop and grow its core business groups of car audio, multimedia, navigation equipment, marine audio and communications equipment.

Kenwood Electronics will market a full range of premium car entertainment products and home audio products in NZ. Chris de Wit, Managing Director of Endurance Distributors states that: “Kenwood has a long history in New Zealand and we are excited to bring this premium brand back to the market. Kenwood has an exciting range of product that we will progressively introduce over the following months”.

The first new Kenwood products will hit the shelves of selected NZ retailers later this month and will included a range of double-DIN multimedia receivers with built-in GPS navigation.
