The entire range comes with performance features and enhanced functions such as Super Lolux, Intelligent Auto and Timelapse, to make digital recording more fun and enjoyable. Intelligent Auto automatically selects the best settings for the scene after intelligent detection and analysis of faces, brightness, colour and distance. The new full-screen frameless touch panels are easy to operate and the new user-interface enables fast and intuitive control.

The 2011 Everio range also features โ€˜Zoom in Pictureโ€™ which allows users to digitally zoom into any face detected within a wide-angle image and to display it in the screen corner. This selected zoom-in image and the wide-angle image can be recorded at the same time.

There’s a unique 2D – 3D converting camcorder (the GZ-HM970), which allows you to record your video in 2D, and view it in 3D via HDMI output to your 3D compatible TV โ€“ or simply watch and share it in full 3D on the camcorderโ€™s LCD monitor without having to wear 3D glasses.

The full 3D GS-TD1 on the other hand, shoots 3D in full HD. JVCโ€™s โ€˜LR Independent Formatโ€™ has an independent lens and 3.32 megapixel CMOS sensor for both right and left eyes, so the camera can realise โ€˜trueโ€™ 1920×1080 Full HD 3D video. In addition the camcorder is compatible with a number of shooting modes, including the widely used โ€˜Side-by-Side Formatโ€™ 3D shooting and conventional 2D shooting modes.

The twin back-illuminated ยผ.1โ€ 3.32M CMOS sensors give bright high-resolution shooting, even indoors or in dark environments such as in street lighting.

Enhanced features on selected models now enable video transfer of a re-sized video file to a smartphone allowing sharing on video sharing sites without having to access a PC. Bluetooth also enables synchronisation with Google Maps during playback on a smartphone.
