AshKHow things have changed in just a few years. Not so long ago, the DSLR was an incredible platform for still photos, unbeatable for convenience and knocking on film’s door in terms of image quality.
Then came Canon’s EOS 5MkII and the game changed. HD video was suddenly available on a DSLR body and not just any HD video, this was stuff unseen outside of the film studios. It’s since become a necessity on most DSLRs and the results can be amazing.
This little clip was shot on Canon 5DMkII and 7D DSLRs using only Canon’s new EF8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM lens (and underwater housings and boats and helicopters etc. but you get the picture).

Also, as much as I hate to admit it, it’s probably time that I embraced HD video and traded in my Nikon D200.
