EMI IN NZ has announced that The Beatles’ entire catalogue is finally to be released on 180-gram vinyl on November 9.
Since the whole catalogue was reissued in remastered form on CD back in 2009, fans have been eagerly awaiting word of release on vinyl.
The label says the albums will be released on audiophile quality vinyl with replicated artwork, and all albums will contain their original artwork; including the poster in The Beatles (The White Album), Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band’s cut-outs, and special inner bags for some titles.
Each album will be available individually, or can be purchased in a lavish box set with a limited print-run of 50,000 copies worldwide, and containing a 252-page hardbound book.
The book dedicates a chapter to each of the albums, “as well as an insight into the creation of the remasters and how the vinyl albums were prepared.”
All the albums are stereo (with the exception of two songs on Please Please Me, ‘Love Me Do’ and ‘P.S. I Love You’, which will doubtless make for some controversy.
