AshKParmenter Sound has announced the availability of Italian made high-end, high efficiency horn speakers from Casta Acoustics.
Two models are available – the Model B and the Model C.
The Model B is a three way compact full range system, based on an 8″ woofer with a cellulose fiber diaphragm, a horn loaded midrange with “Zero Compression Direct Front Loading” technology and a horn loaded tweeter with titanium diaphragm. The $14,000 per pair Model B is 94 dB/W efficient and is designed to be very easy to drive with medium or low power amplifiers, both tube and solid state Class A.
The Model C speaker offers very high performance and is intended to allow the use of low powered Single Ended Triode valve amplifiers. It uses a 15 inch woofer with ALNICO magnet and a horn midrange with “Zero Compression Direct Front Loading” technology and a horn loaded compression driver tweeter. Sensitivity is rated at 98 dB/W and the local price is $30,000 per pair.
