Horror Streaming Service Shudder Launches In NZ

A new streaming service specifically for fans of horror has launched in Australia and New Zealand this week.

The Guardian called it the “gold standard of targeted streaming services” and Thrillist wrote that it was “pretty much everything a horror fan could want.” And for those who find that Netflix and the other streaming services just don’t have enough of what they want, Shudder is a subscription service that caters only for fans of horror, thrillers and the supernatural.

Already scaring the bejesus out of willing viewers in the US, the UK and parts of Europe, Shudder “promises an unrivalled collection of “curated horror and supernatural movies and series’ just in time for Halloween season, where we feature our biggest and best programming of the year.โ€

Shudder offers hundreds of hours of programming, including dozens of original and exclusive movies and original series like the breakout hits Creepshow and Cursed Films.

Terrifying Shudder film Host has a 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes

Among the initial titles available are recent Shudder originals including Zoom-based, shot in quarantine chiller Host, the highest-rated horror movie on Rotten Tomatoes with a 100 percent fresh rating; the certified fresh eco-horror The Beach House, as well as Blood Machines, Blood Quantum, Impetigore,
Lake Of Death, Random Acts Of Violence, Scare Package, The Room,
Yummy and Z.

TV series’ include Shudder original Creepshow (from showrunner/executive producer Greg Nicotero) and the Shudder Exclusive Missions.

Shudder also offers documentaries like A History Of Black Horror, the breakout docu-series Cursed Films, In Search Of Darkness and Visionaries: Eli Roth’s History Of Horror.
