The famous turntable brand releases two swish record cleaning machines.

Pro-Ject Audio – the company famous for helping to rehabilitate the vinyl market through its nicely priced turntables – is giving its popular VC-S record cleaner a couple of sophisticated siblings with the introduction of the VC-E and VC-S2.
The Pro-Ject VC-E is tagged the ‘compact cleaning machine’ and its key features include a compact cabinet made out of aluminium composite panels, a plastic clamp which avoids damaging the label by seal the record label from the cleaning fluid, the ability to completely dry a record in only one or two spins, and a 500ml tank reservoir for ‘vacuumed’ fluid.

It’s being promoted as the perfect record cleaner for the vinyl fan who is short on space.
The Pro-Ject VC-S2, on the other hand, is tagged as ‘the premium record-cleaning machine’, and its key features include quieter operation, excellent cleaning and vacuum capabilities, and a 2.5litre tank for ‘vacuumed’ fluid. Its aluminium enclosure is said to exemplify high-end build quality and the machine is good for both vinyl and shellac records. The larger motor and reservoir also makes for easier cleaning.

* Both vinyl cleaners will be available in New Zealand on December 14 at $799 (VC-E) and $999 (VC-S2) respectively.
