CAMBRIDGE AUDIO HAS introduced a stereo power amplifier in the Azur 651 series, which is quite a change because separate power amps have traditionally been reserved for the companyโs flagship 800 series range.
The 651W has been designed specifically to be partnered with a high quality digital preamplifier such as Cambridgeโs own Stream Magic 6. Similar to the range topping Azur 851W, the 651W employs Toroidal transformers instead of El transformers, which according to the company results in high quality power output with a consistent signal, no transformer noise, improved bass and smooth power with extremely low distortion.
The 651W features both fully balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analogue audio inputs, and has a power output of 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 150 into 4 ohms.
RRP is $1599
