MICROSOFT HAS ANNOUNCED the launch date of its new Xbox One as November 22 in 13 territories, including New Zealand.
It has also confirmed that the CPU has been increased from 1.6GHZ to 1.75GHZ, roughly a 10 percent increase in CPU performance.
“What does this mean to you, the gamer?” says Xbox Vice President of Marketing, Strategy & Business, Yusuf Mehdi. “It means that the Xbox One will have that much more power for developers to make their games and entertainment really shine.”
Mehdi also trumpets the “40-plus improvements [made] to the Xbox One controller, advancements to help you find the perfect opponent and make the most of our online community, to the power of the cloud.”
The Xbox One launches on the very day in 2005 that the legendary Xbox 360 was launched.
