High-End Hi-Fi Listening Evenings In Hamilton

IF YOU’VE EVER wanted to hear just how good a high-end hi-fi system sounds when itโ€™s set up in a virtually perfect room, then your dreams have come true. The team at Hamilton based AV distributor PQ Imports is now hosting music evenings on the first Tuesday of every month.

The room and the system are covered here:

WD-PQ-7This coming Tuesday (i.e. the 2nd of April), the system will feature twin REL G1 subs with the Maggie MG 3.7Rโ€™s driven with by the newly upgraded VTL TL 7.5 III preamp and Siegfried II power amps.

The format on the night is that each person brings a couple of CDs or vinyl LPs and everyone gets to play a couple of selections to hear how their favourite music sounds on a system like this. Having heard the system, I can confidently state that if you’re in the area, it’s well worth a visit. If you’re not in the area, it’s still worth the drive.

The only date that these evenings will not be held is the first Tuesday of May.

  1. The Waikato Audio Club which we started back in 1988 has risen from the ashes…great to see the Tuesday night tradition carrying on.
Good on you Paul and the team.
