Simple Audio Roomplayers now available in NZ

June 7, 2012

SIMPLE AUDIO’S ROOMPLAYER’S combine HD sound and Powerline communications technology to keep computer and multiroom audio as easy as possible.

The Simple Audio system supports 24-bit computer audio files, allowing users to stream the high resolution audio around their home while keeping the wireless network free. MP3. AAC, WAV, AIFF, FLAC and Apple Lossless formats are supported.

To get the system up and running, users connect the Roomplayer 1 to their floor standing, bookshelf or even in-wall speakers, download the Simple Audio software onto their home computer and the app onto their iPhone or iPod Touch (if applicable), and theyโ€™re good to go. Because it uses the homeโ€™s power sockets, the Roomplayer won’t stop working if the router goes down and there are no โ€œout of rangeโ€ issues. The on-board Class D digital amplifier offers 2 x 50 watts output, so it should drive most speakers without any hassles but thereโ€™s also a Roomplayer 2 with no built-in amplifier, which functions as a pure streamer and just hooks up to an existing amp if one is available.

Roomplayer2 $1399

Roomplayer1 (50w amp) $1599
