NuForce Introduces Cube Mobile Audio Center

June 20, 2012

NUFORCE HAS ANNOUNCED the release of its Cube mobile speaker. The Cube is only two inches tall, but itโ€™s still claimed to be a the perfect “triple treat” for music lovers on the go โ€“ “a great-sounding portable speaker, a headphone amplifier, and a USB Digital Audio Converter (DAC) all in one.”

NuForceโ€™s experience in audio electronics is combined with a very high-quality speaker driver, which results in a product said to blow cheap, low-quality portable speakers out of the water. The USB digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) accepts digital music directly from a computer and bypasses the computer’s on-board sound card, which is often low quality and results in a compromised sound. The headphone amp uses an optimised amplifier to provide plenty of power to drive even high-end โ€˜phones, which means that they should sound better than when theyโ€™re driven by the feeble output stages in most portable media players and smartphones.

The Cube is powered by a rechargeable lithium battery with a runtime of eight hours. Available colours are black, silver, red, blue and the supplied accessories include a 600mm 3.5mm stereo cable 0.6M, a 700mm USB Cable 0.7M and a soft carry pouch.

The NuForce Cube will be available early and the RRP is expected to be $179.
