Sony NZ has announced its new range of Balanced Armature (BA) In-ear headphones.
Featuring the company’s new BA technology, the micro-sized BA drivers are optimised for music enjoyment, giving “a high performance listening experience”.
The in-ear headphones boasts full-range, woofer, tweeter and super woofer units, claiming a “high resolution sound… sound isolation, and waterproofing.”
Sony says that its BA drivers are quarter the size of traditional 13.5mm dynamic drivers, and that they reduce the amount of ambient noise, as well as producing a deeper and richer sound.
There are four “high quality sound models for common listening”, XBA-1, XBA-2, XBA-3 and XBA-4. The last-named, top-of-line model houses full range driver plus woofer, plus tweeter, plus super woofer.
There’s also an Active Sport model (XBA-S65) for those who need their in-ear headphones waterproof; a wireless Bluetooth headset (XBA-BT75); and digital noise cancelling phones (XBA-NC85D).
* Prices are yet to be confirmed. These new models are expected to hit the shelves in November.
